Slapped In The Face With A Frozen Fish–“Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold”– Obamacare Wins

This morning, SCOTUS slapped the GOP in the face with a frozen fish - it doesn’t get any colder than that.  If ever there was a situation where “revenge is a dish best served cold” it has to be the 6-3 decision upholding subsidies on the ACA’s Federal Exchange.

Historians are not sure where this saying originated, but it means that revenge is best served not fresh after the insult occurred, but after enough time has passed so that the target won't see it coming.  Well, enough time has passed since the King vs Burwell suit was launched and judging by their outraged, unhinged reactions, Republicans didn’t see this coming.  That makes this revenge all the more bitterly cold for them and thus sweet for ACA supporters.

The GOP had been almost giddy with excitement in anticipation of SCOTUS ruling in their favor.  They were busy hatching all kinds of devious plans to try and destroy the entire ACA without ever coming up with even the faintest idea of how to provide health insurance for the 19 million people who would lose coverage if Obamacare was dismantled.  Beating President Obama was all that mattered to them.

Now, they can put those poison bills in the shredder and go back to laughingly, hopelessly and ridiculously voting out bills to repeal Obamacare.  There they go again ….55, 56, 57…and on it goes.  It’s defined as insanity.
